On March 24, at the 2026 Xuantie RISC-V Ecosystem Conference held in Shanghai, Alibaba DAMO Academy unveiled its next-generation flagship CPU product, the Xuantie C950.

It uses open source RISC-V architecture, single-core general performance in the SPECint2006 benchmark test exceeded 70 points, breaking the global RISC-V CPU performance record, suitable for cloud computing, generative AI, high-end robotics, edge computing and other fields, performance reached the industry-leading level. In addition, the Xuantie C950 uses RISC-V open source and open features, equipped with self-developed AI acceleration engine, the first native support Qwen3, DeepSeek V3 and other hundreds of billions of parameters of large models, is expected to become a new high-end CPU in the AI Agent era. 

Different from the traditional closed source architecture, RISC-V open source, flexible and customizable, is widely regarded as an emerging architecture "born for AI", or will change the existing pattern of the chip industry. Alibaba DAMO Academy is one of the world's leading companies in RISC-V. It has released more than 10 Xuantie CPUs and landed nearly 1,000 terminal products, covering servers, robots, new energy vehicles, AI smart terminals, storage controllers and other application fields.
